About Us

The 21st Century Learning @ Hong Kong conference brings educators from within and beyond the region together to interact with ideas and experiences designed to make them better prepared, informed and enthused to be able to bring out the best in the digital native learners they influence.

The first part are optional school visits and pre-conferences. The school visits concentrate on venues where the ideas of 21st Century Learning are taking place. Practically this equates to visits of up to 5 different venues to observe in-situ learning and to discuss with educators how they are responding to the challenges of making learning collaborative, connected, creative and personal for each student.

The second part of the conference is a coming together at a common venue to exchange powerful ideas. This will take the form of Keynote speeches, Learning Strand Workshops and discussion forums.

In keeping with the Theme of the conference “Leading and Learning in Digital Schools”, we trust that delegates will find a Learning Area Strand which will be appropriate and relevant for addressing the unique needs of the learners that they will return to face on Monday morning.  

Conference Theme:  The conference theme is “Leading and Learning in Digital Schools” and to support this there is an extensive program of themed strands for parts of the conference. 

Many educators from around the region have taken up the challenge and stepped forward to help us design the strands and to assist us in “Leading and Learning in Digital Schools” for you, the delegate! Come and join is for what we believe will be a stimulating and exciting conference in February 2012.

21st Century Learning Hong Kong is a education non-profit in Hong Kong focused on promoting sharing of best practice 21st Century Learning. 21CLHK has hosted four education conferences in Hong Kong and was founded as a non-profit in 2011.

The Technology Director at HKIS is responsible for both the the teaching and learning side of technology as well as the intrastructure and operations. I\'m passioniate about both aspects of the job and believe one would not work without the other. 

Current projects include: 1:1 program from grades 5-12; Development of in-house curriculium & learning management system (myDragonNet); innovative classoom design.

Justin is a New Zealand and Australian citizen and has lived in Hong Kong for 14 years.
